How is Blotwise different from traditional DLP tools?+
Traditional DLP lives at the network or endpoint level and was designed for email and file transfers. Blotwise is purpose-built for AI: it operates inside the browser, understands conversational context, and enforces policies in real time before data is transmitted — not after.
Does the extension read all my employees' browser activity?+
No. The extension only inspects content inside supported AI tool interfaces, and it never reads unrelated tabs or captures passwords. Scanning happens in the browser and incident logs hold metadata, not conversations. There is one exception, and it is deliberate: when an employee reports a false positive or asks an administrator for permission, a short excerpt of up to 100 characters is sent along so the administrator can judge the request. That excerpt is stored encrypted.
Which AI platforms does Blotwise cover?+
Blotwise covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity AI, and custom domains you define. New platforms are added continuously — submit a request and we'll prioritize it.
How long does deployment take?+
For Google Workspace customers, a full organization-wide rollout takes under 15 minutes via the Admin Console. The extension is force-installed silently — no setup required from employees.
Is Blotwise compliant with GDPR and HIPAA?+
Blotwise is not itself certified against SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and we will not claim otherwise. What we do is help you meet your own obligations: detection runs in the browser, prompt and file content is never sent to us, incident records hold metadata rather than conversations, and every record is exportable for an audit. Our infrastructure providers maintain their own certifications, and we sign a Data Processing Agreement on request.
